Richard B. Cheney is a distinguished American businessman, public servant and politician. Cheney was a well-known name in Washington throughout his time. George W. Bush was the president of the 4th generation to Cheney, who he served. Bush nominated Cheney as his vice-presidential running mate in July the year 2000. Bush cited Cheney's wisdom as well as his judgment and expertise. Dick Cheney was a chief of staff to presidents. He also worked for the United States Congress as Secretary of Defense and served the nation in various roles. Both Republicans as well as Democrats admire him for his integrity. Cheney declares that he's an honest and discreet advisor for Bush within his administration. Cheney said that after he was accepted as the Republican nomination to vice-president Cheney was looking forward to working with a president who would work across political lines to achieve goals and will collaborate with opponents with good faith. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30, 1941) was the son Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been wed with Richard Herbert Cheney for over 30 years. As a 13-year-old, Richard Bruce and his family moved in Casper (in Wyoming, the State of Wyoming) in Wyoming, where his father was Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's land conservation districts.
