Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actress and singer. Early Broadway performances are Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. She was awarded the Tony Award for Best Featured actor in a Play in the role of Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It With You. Tony Award-winning actor Annaleigh Ashford has spent her career working alongside renowned directors and actors across theatre and on television. she is continuing her award-winning project with various upcoming ones. Ashford in the near future will play opposite Kumail in Robert Siegel's Hulu-exclusive program Welcome to Chippendales which premieres on November 22nd. Ashford's current project includes the Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust, starring alongside Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film is an Hulu Original and will be streamed via Disney DTC. It will be released in 2023, March. Ashford will make a return appearance on Broadway and star opposite Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will serve as the creators of the production. Ashford appeared as Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story Impeachment, inspired by the scandal that was involving Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the nation crisis. For two seasons, she was the main character of the hit show on CBS called B Positive. The show was developed by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the legendary Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not unfamiliar with Broadway was awarded both Tony Drama Desk Awards as along with Outer Critics Circle Awards in her character in the role of Essie. She has also appeared on Broadway in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde in addition to the original role of Lauren In Kinky Boots for which she received a nomination for a Tony Award. Ashford has been born in Denver, now spends time between Los Angeles and New York.
